Ani Martirosian advises entrepreneurs, creators, startups, and growing businesses on protecting, managing, and enforcing their intellectual property. Her practice spans trademarks, copyrights, patents, IP agreements, and disputes.
Ms. Martirosian works with clients at different stages of growth, from selecting and protecting a new brand to developing an IP portfolio or responding to an infringement claim. She approaches each matter with an understanding of the client’s business objectives and the practical consequences of each legal decision.
In litigation, Ms. Martirosian has represented both rights holders seeking to enforce their intellectual property and parties defending against infringement allegations. Her experience includes proceedings in federal district courts, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh and Ninth Circuits, and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.
Ms. Martirosian earned her J.D. from Santa Clara University School of Law, where she received a High Tech Law Certificate and a CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Appellate Advocacy. Her background in cellular and molecular biology and biotechnology informs her work with clients whose businesses involve technical and creative innovation.

- A.C.T. 898 Products, Inc. v. Kashi Beauty Supply Inc. et al. — U.S. District Court, Central District of California. Represented the plaintiff in a trademark dispute that resulted in a jury verdict in the plaintiff’s favor and an injunction.
- Richardson v. Kharbouch — U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. Represented defendant Karim Kharbouch in a copyright infringement action. The district court granted summary judgment for the defendant, and the Seventh Circuit affirmed.
- PepsiCo, Inc. v. Sipsy Inc. — Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. Represented the applicant in a trademark opposition that concluded with the opposition dismissed without prejudice.
